*Servers* The PDC/O2000-MSA1000 cluster supports 2 to 6 nodes of ProLiant server.
Please refer to the PDC/O2000 Certification Matrix for supported ProLiant
Server models in the PDC/O2000 configurations. PDC/O2000 Cluster must be
identically configured, including:
All the servers within a PDC/O2000-MSA1000 cluster must belong to the
same server model
Minimum memory: Each ProLiant server in the PDC/O2000-MSA1000 Cluster
must have a minimum of 256 MB of memory and a minimum of 512 KB L2 cache
per processor
Balanced servers: The servers within a PDC/O2000-MSA1000 cluster must be
balanced. That is, each server must have the same type and number of
processors, the same amount of primary and secondary cache, and the same
type and amount of memory
*Storage* The PDC/O2000-MSA1000 cluster configurations have been certified with HP
StorageWorks Modular SAN Array 1000 (MSA 1000) Storage subsystem as shared
storage. StorageWorks MSA1000 base unit combines the array controller shelf
and the drive shelf, which can hold up to fourteen 1" universal disk drives
in a single 4U rack mount cabinet. More storage can be easily deployed with
the addition of up to two StorageWorks 4314 or the existing 4214 Enclosures
for a maximum storage capacity of 4TB when using 146 GB drives. The MSA1000
provides the latest 2Gb Fibre Channel technology to the hosts. Besides the
single port 2 Gb Fibre Channel I/O module that comes standard, there is an
optional 6-port, 2 Gb Fibre Channel Fabric Switch that fits inside the
MSA1000. The MSA1000 provides Ultra3 SCSI connections to the hard drives and
uses the HP Universal 1" Ultra2, Ultra3 and/or Ultra320 drives. By utilizing
existing SCSI drives, the MSA1000 lowers the total cost of ownership and
extends the customer's hardware investments into the future. For additional

The PDC/O2000-MSA1000 cluster configuration supports multiple redundant
Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loops (FCAL) with Short Wave GBIC and multi-mode
Fibre optical cable.

The HP Parallel Database Cluster Model PDC/O2000-MSA1000 for Oracle9i Real
Application Cluster (PDC/O2000) allows a two to six node cluster of HP
ProLiant servers to simultaneously share a single Oracle database.

HP provides an Enhanced Cluster Kit for the PDC/O2000-MSA1000
configurations, which contain the HP SecurePath Multipath software, and an
Administrator Guide. The PDC/O2000-MSA1000 configurations have been
certified with the StorageWorks Modular San Array 1000. The StorageWorks
MSA1000 is the first generation 2Gb Fibre Channel storage system designed
for the entry level to mid-range Storage Area Network (SAN). Designed to
reduce the complexity, expense and risk of SAN deployment, the MSA1000 is a
scaleable, high performance storage system built with investment protection
in mind. The modular design of the MSA1000 allows the user to easily add
storage capacity on an as needed basis. The PDC/O2000-MSA1000 configuration
supports multiple redundant Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loops (FCAL) with Short
Wave GBICs and multi-mode Fibre optic cabling.
