Description

The TLZ9L Digital Audio Tape (DAT) device provides you with high capacity,
off-line data storage. Depending on the 4 mm data cassette tape used, the
unit can typically store up GB 8.0 GB compressed. The TLZ9L and TLZ1L are
packaged in a 5 1/4-inch, full-height form factor with either an embedded
TLZ09 cassette tape drive (TLZ9L) or an embedded TLZ10 cassette tape drive
(TLZ1L). The TSL-7000 and TSL9000 are Compaq-branded autoloaders. The
TSL-7000 has a Sony SDT-7000 DAT drive inside and the TSL-9000 has a Sony
SDT-9000. The TLZ9L and TLZ1L cassette tape autoloaders provide very high
capacity unattended backup, as well as support for the full random access
command set as defined by SCSI-2. They are packaged in a 5 1/4-inch,
full-height form factor with either an embedded TLZ09 cassette tape drive
(TLZ9L) or an embedded TLZ10 cassette tape drive (TLZ1L), and provide all
the functionality and features of the embedded drive. The autoloader is NOT
a field upgrade option for the TLZ09 or TLZ10 tape drive. It must be
purchased as a single unit. With the 8-cartridge magazine (PN TLZ9L-08), the
TLZ9L autoloader provides up to 64 gigabytes of storage and the TLZ1L
autoloader provides up to 192 gigabytes of storage. The TSL-7000 and TSL9000
are Compaq-branded autoloaders. The TSL-7000 has a Sony SDT-7000 DAT drive
inside and the TSL-9000 has a Sony SDT-9000. The TLZ type DATs run DEC
firmware and the TSL DATs run Compaq firmware. top of page
