LN32 and LNM40 differences
--------------------------
The LNM40 will use the same XIP engine that is currently used for the LN32.
All options and consumables currently available for the LN32 will be useable
on the LNM40. There will be two models offered.
Base model (3X-LNM40-CA)
Optioned up model (3X-LNM40-DA)
Changes required to make the LN32 into the LNM40 includes a change in the
engine controller firmware and a faster processor on the main controller.
The processor speed will increase from 133MHz to 166MHz. A system code
change is also required to identify the printer as an LNM40 rather than a
LN32 printer. The LN32 will be ECO'd to reflect the use of the new
controller with the 166MHz processor.
LN32 main controller in the field logistics system will be exchanged for the
new LNM40 controller.Future builds of the LN32's will have the 166MHz
processor. The engine controller and the main controller represent the only
components changed from the LN32 to the LNM40.
