CIBCI - *****
VAXBI to CI Port Adapter (Dual Path)
CIBCI VAXBI to CI Dual Path Interface comes in 2 separate sections;
the VAXBI section and the CI section. The VAXBI section
consists of two Eurocard, T series modules, the Adapter
control module (BAC, T1017) and the Adapter data module (BAD,
T1018). The CI section consists of three extended hex L series
modules, the Link interface module (ILI, L0100), the Packet
buffer module (IPB, L0101) and the Data path module (CDP,
L0400) mounted in a CIPA Adapter Box, which is in turn mounted
in a H9642 CIPA cabinet (for VAX82xx/83xx) or H9652 expander
cabinet (for VAX 85xx, 87xx or 88xx).

The CIBCI is a VAXBI to CI Dual Path Interface and provides buffered
parallel to serial communications between two CI bus architecture protocols;
the VAX backplane interconnect (VAXBI) bus of the VAX 8000 series host
processor and the dual path computer interconnect (CI) bus. The CIBCI uses
queue structures in OpenVMS VAX to transfer packet messages and blocks of
data between the VAX 8000 memory and/or other nodes in the VAXcluster. It
comes in two separate sections; the VAXBI section and the CI section. The
VAXBI section consists of two Eurocard, T-series modules, the Adapter
control module (BAC, T1017) and the Adapter data module (BAD, T1018). The CI
section consists of three extended hex L series modules, the Link interface
module (ILI, L0100), the Packet buffer module (IPB, L0101) and the Data path
module (CDP, L0400) mounted in a CIPA Adapter Box, which is in turn mounted
in a H9642 CIPA cabinet (for VAX82xx/83xx) or H9652 expander cabinet (for
VAX 85xx, 87xx or 88xx).
